It can\u00a0 read,\u00a0 convert\u00a0 and\u00a0 write\u00a0 images in a variety of formats. Use ImageMagick to translate, flip, mirror, rotate, scale, shear and transform\u00a0 images, adjust image colors, apply various special effects, or draw text, lines, polygons, ellipses and Bezier curves.\u00a0 ImageMagick\u00a0 includes a number of command-line utilities for manipulating images. Most of you are probably accustom to editing images one at a time with a graphical user interface (GUI) with such programs\u00a0 as gimp or Photoshop. However, a GUI is not always convenient. Suppose you want to process an image dynamically or you want to apply\u00a0 the\u00a0 same\u00a0 operations\u00a0 to\u00a0 many images\u00a0 or\u00a0 repeat\u00a0 a\u00a0 specific\u00a0 operation at different times to the same or different image.
